Committees

The General Assembly

The General Assembly contains the largest and internationally focused committees of WHSMUN. These include the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Main Committees. Each of these four bodies will work to produce Draft Resolutions, with the ultimate goal of passing these pieces of legislation within the General Assembly Plenary Session’s Resolution.

The Regional Bodies

The Regional Bodies, a new department to WHSMUN this year, combine recognizable General Assembly debate with fast-paced crisis dynamics, challenging delegates to respond as real-world policymakers would. Operating under authentic regional procedures, these committees will ask delegates to work to uphold regional stability in a rapidly changing world, and to mirror the decision-making of their respective institutions: the Council of the European Union (CEU), African Union (AU), and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
